Announcement of the Principal's Conclusions at the February 2026 Work Review Meeting

On February 2nd, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held its annual meeting. Rector Hoang Anh Tuan chaired the meeting, which was attended by the Party Secretary, the Vice Rectors, the Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries of the Party branches, the Heads and Deputy Heads of the units, the Chief Accountant, the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal, and the leaders of the various mass organizations.
After listening to the exchange and discussion at the briefing conference on the following contents: (1) Report on the implementation of work in January 2026 and the work plan for February 2026; (2) Report on the implementation of the Rector's conclusions at the January 2026 briefing conference; (3) Exchange and discussion of units and functional departments; (4) Opinions of the Vice-Rectors; the Rector concluded:
1.Heads of units are responsible for disseminating information about the Tet holiday schedule, arranging work, ensuring that employees and workers celebrate Tet safely and in accordance with regulations; and ensuring the progress of work before, during, and after the Lunar New Year.
2.Heads of units are responsible for reviewing and expediting the settlement of accounts, ensuring compliance with financial principles.
3.The Personnel and Organization Department is tasked with continuing to review the organizational structure in accordance with the directives of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the resolutions and conclusions of the University's Party Committee, in order to further streamline the organizational structure towards efficiency, effectiveness, and effectiveness.
4.The Training and Career Guidance Department is tasked with ensuring the training schedule and maintaining academic discipline before, during, and after the Lunar New Year; coordinating with the Youth Union/Student Association to organize USSH OPEN DAY 2026 with a multi-purpose approach, serving student recruitment, career guidance, and employment; and researching the implementation of digitization of the University's diplomas and certificates.
- Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong and Vice Rector Dang Hong Son are tasked with directing the Training, International Cooperation, and External Relations departments to review the current student recruitment, training, and care processes, propose restructuring plans, and develop implementation procedures based on a "single point of contact, with coordination from relevant departments" approach, ensuring efficiency (to be completed before the Lunar New Year).
5.The Science Department is tasked with continuing to promote science and technology programs with partners to expand revenue from science and technology, and with ensuring the completion of tasks due according to the plan.
- For the International Conference for Young Staff and PhD Candidates: Relevant departments should organize the conference by dividing it into specialized clusters (approximately 4-5 clusters) and assigning responsibilities to each cluster (with a focal point unit for each cluster). The Science Department will support the units with procedural and technical matters; research and implement electronic publication for convenient use.
- Regarding the Forum on Social Sciences and Humanities: Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong is assigned to direct the implementation, with the Department of International Cooperation and Finance acting as the focal point for close coordination, planning, discussion, and agreement on policies, ensuring correct and complete administrative procedures, and flexibility in implementation methods. Heads of units should widely disseminate information to staff, employees, and partners. The general spirit is that the forum should fundamentally cover all fields of social sciences and humanities, including workshops, discussions, and in-depth exchanges with experts.
- Continue to promote key research programs, ensuring two main objectives: cultivating leading experts and research groups, and providing timely and high-quality policy advice. The university encourages the establishment of subcommittees to facilitate implementation.
- Publications and Textbooks: Implement according to plan, paying particular attention to communication (book launches) to widely introduce and promote the work of scientists in the School.
- Student research projects: Organize and implement them early to provide students with sufficient time, and to ensure compatibility between the selection process for research projects by VNU and the university's key investment projects.
- Develop an internal update system: Assign the Science Department to implement this.
6.The External Relations Department is tasked with reviewing the management process of international projects; developing and proposing a plan to reform operations towards a single point of contact responsible for all aspects, with coordination among relevant departments.

We request that the Board of Directors regularly monitor and direct all aspects of work, strengthen inspection work, and report to the Principal on the progress of implementing the plan and tasks within their respective areas of responsibility. We request that functional departments proactively implement and ensure timely completion, especially for key activities.
Heads of units are requested to widely disseminate and implement the Rector's conclusions from the monthly briefing sessions seriously, fully, and on schedule.
The Administrative and General Affairs Department respectfully announces the conclusions of the Rector at the February 2026 work review meeting for the information and implementation of all functional departments and units.
