15 years of the student scientific research movement

The Student Scientific Research Conference of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the academic year 2009-2010 was held on May 22, 2010. This was also an opportunity to summarize the achievements of the university's 15-year student scientific research movement (1996-2010).In his opening remarks at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Rector of the University - reviewed the achievements of the past 15 years, affirming:Since 1996, the University has launched and implemented a comprehensive scientific research program for students throughout the university... We have achieved many positive results, and the useful, multifaceted, and multidimensional outcomes of student scientific research activities are clearly visible. Many students have come to regard research as an indispensable need in their self-cultivation, learning, and striving at the university."The school is a strong unit in student research, having received numerous commendations from the Ministry of Education and Training, and many student projects have won annual awards from the Ministry. This year, the entire school had 707 research projects by 1,172 students participating. After selection, the school officially awarded prizes to 74 projects carried out by 113 students, including 14 projects winning first prize, 31 projects winning second prize, and 29 projects winning third prize. Eight groups with outstanding achievements in student research in the 2009-2010 academic year were also commended, including two groups winning first prize, three groups winning second prize, and three groups winning third prize. The school also awarded prizes to six individuals and one group with outstanding achievements in student research during the period 1996-2010."
