Towards the 8th National Patriotic Emulation Congress, on July 13, 2010, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the 2nd Advanced Model Conference, with the participation of 221 delegates who are outstanding advanced models of the University in the period 2005-2010.
Towards the 8th National Patriotic Emulation Congress, on July 13, 2010, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the 2nd Advanced Model Conference, with the participation of 221 delegates who are outstanding advanced models of the University in the period 2005-2010.The conference aimed to evaluate the achievements, propose directions and tasks to promote the patriotic emulation movement in the period of 2010-2015 as well as to commend typical advanced faces. On behalf of the school's leadership, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Permanent Vice President - presented a report summarizing the emulation and commendation work in the period of 2005-2010 and the direction of emulation and commendation work in the period of 2010-2015. From 2005 to 2010, the emulation movement of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has always been promoted and has achieved remarkable results in all fields. Over the years, the School has been continuously recognized by the President of VNU as an excellent labor collective; was awarded the VNU Emulation Flag in 2009; Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training in 2009; Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in 2007; The Prime Minister's Emulation Flag in 2009. In addition, many typical examples and advanced organizations have also been recognized and rewarded by leaders at all levels. Specifically, 21 groups and 18 individuals have received labor medals of various ranks, 18 groups and 22 individuals have received certificates of merit from the Prime Minister; 61 groups and 110 individuals have received certificates of merit from the Director of VNU; 83 groups and 254 certificates of merit from the President of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. In addition, many groups and individuals have also achieved emulation titles at all levels. Thereby, it has contributed to motivating and encouraging the school's staff to be more voluntary and active in all activities. At the conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu also presented the direction of emulation and reward work for the period 2010 - 2015. The 26th Congress of the School's Party Committee (Term 2010 - 2015) set the goal of soon turning the school into a research university with training quality and scientific research meeting regional standards, including developing a number of majors/specializations meeting international standards, effectively contributing to the country's development. By 2015, the school strives to be ranked in the top 400 universities in Asia. To achieve that goal, the school's emulation movement needs to focus on the following main contents: First, continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement Directive 35/CT-TW, Directive 39/CT-TW of the Politburo on continuing to innovate, promoting the patriotic emulation movement, associated with the campaign "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh". Second, continue to implement in practice the Prime Minister's Directive and the Action Program of the Ministry of Education and Training on innovation in university education management for the period 2010 - 2012. Third, continue to promote the emulation movement to excellently complete the school's political tasks, successfully implementing the goals set by the 26th Congress of the School Party Committee. Based on the key tasks of each school year, the School Union will preside over the annual emulation launch at the Conference of cadres and civil servants. Fourth, mass organizations continue to implement campaigns and emulation movements, first of all focusing on building regulations on implementing discipline, cultural lifestyle, community awareness and brand of the school and Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in line with the mission and development goals of the school. The conference also heard representatives of units, collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements such as: representatives of the school's Trade Union, Faculty of Philosophy, Training Department, Museum of Anthropology and Prof. Dr. Tran Tri Doi present their speeches and reports on their units' emulation achievements in the past 5 years. Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Giang - Vice President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi - presented the Government's emulation flag to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - one of 7 outstanding units to receive the Government's emulation flag. Prof. Vu Minh Giang highly appreciated the achievements that the staff of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have achieved. At the same time, encourage and motivate units to compete to achieve more outstanding achievements, contributing to the overall development of the school in particular and VNU in general. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh, on behalf of the school's leadership, received comments and contributions, delivered a speech summarizing the conference and launching the school's emulation movement for the period 2010 - 2015. The Principal emphasized that in the next 5 years, the tasks set for the school are very large, requiring teachers and students of the whole school to strive constantly and focus on promoting emulation in all activities to successfully complete the tasks entrusted by the Party, the State, VNU and the society.
