To further enhance the glorious traditions of the General-Humanities Veterans Association in the new era.

On March 25, 2022, the School's Veterans Association successfully held its General Assembly for the 2022-2027 term.

Before the congress began, the officials and members of the Veterans Association held a ceremony to offer incense at the Monument to Students and Soldiers of Hanoi University who joined the military to defend the Fatherland. During the resistance war against the US, more than 1,300 officials and students of the University directly participated in the fighting, including many heroic figures and martyrs such as Nguyen Van Thac, Hoang Kim Giao, Le Anh Xuan, Chu Cam Phong, Nguyen Trong Dinh… This is a tragic yet heroic period in the tradition of the Veterans Association as well as of the University, which future generations of officials and students will never forget.

The delegation of the Congress laid wreaths at the Monument to Students and Soldiers of Hanoi University who joined the military and defended the Fatherland.

Attending the Congress of the School's Veterans Association were Major General Le Nhu Duc - Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the Hanoi City Veterans Association; Ms. Tran Hong Dung - Standing Vice Chairman of the Forever 20 Fund; Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Rector, along with officials and members of the Association.

The Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has always been an outstanding unit within the Hanoi Veterans Association. Upholding the traditions and qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the members not only demonstrate unity and creativity in implementing the Association's tasks and the veterans' movement, but also possess unwavering determination and a strong will to excel in their assigned professional duties as scientists and educators in the era of integration. Many of the faculty members are leading scientists, serving as role models for younger generations of staff and students.

Principal Hoang Anh Tuan delivered a speech acknowledging the outstanding achievements of the School's Veterans Association during the past term.
During the 2017-2022 term, the Association successfully implemented many key work programs: Studying, understanding, and implementing the thematic resolutions of the Party Committee of Hanoi National University and the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; exemplary cadres and members strictly abide by the directives and resolutions of the Party, and the policies and laws of the State; resolutely fighting against manifestations of ideological, political, moral, and lifestyle degradation, "self-evolution," and "self-transformation"; participating in the campaigns: "Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh," and "Every teacher, lecturer, and educational management staff member is a role model in ethics, self-study, and creativity"; coordinating with the University's Military Command to advise the University leadership on effectively implementing the military rear-area policy, serving as the core in movements to protect political security and order within the University; Effectively coordinating with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in disseminating and educating the younger generation about revolutionary traditions through programs such as "From the Battlefield to the Lecture Hall," "Soldier - Lecturer," "Sacred Vietnam," and "Proud Vietnam," the Student-Soldier Association of 6971 contributed to and mobilized contributions to the construction of a memorial commemorating the participation of Hanoi University's staff and students in the military to defend the Fatherland. From 2020 to the present, the Association has contributed to the Covid-19 prevention fund of Hanoi and the southern provinces, joining hands with society to fight the pandemic.
 

The Congress of the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the 2022-2027 term elected the new Executive Committee and delegates to attend the Congress of the Hanoi City Veterans Association. The new Executive Committee for the 2022-2027 term consists of three members: Comrade Pham Cong Nhat - President of the Association; Comrade Nguyen Vu Hao - Vice President of the Association, Head of the Inspection Committee; and Comrade Pham Van Luyen - Member of the Executive Committee.

Congratulating the success of this Congress, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan stated: More than ever, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities hopes that the lecturers and professors will continue to be a source of spiritual and professional support for the younger generation of students and staff, and continue to make worthy contributions to the development of the University in this new phase. With the new Executive Committee, with a spirit of unity and creativity, the University expects the Association to further enhance the glorious traditions of the veterans of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
