On May 7th, 2020, Prof.Dr Pham Quang Minh (USSH's Rector) and Mrs. Tran Thi Ngoc Hoa (Director of UPM Co., Ltd) announced the signing of the sponsoring Contract on the E-learning training system at the University. On March 25th, 2020, Prof.Dr Pham Quang Minh (USSH's Rector) welcomed Mrs. Chuman Ai (Second Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam). He asked Mrs. Chuman Ai to send an appreciation letter and warm regards from the University to Mr. Kunio Umeda - Ambassador of Japan to Vietnam as he is concluding his term and returning to Japan.

E-learning workshop for USSH's lecturers

A workshop on E-learning platform fully sponsored by UPM Vietnam Co., Ltd (part of Bao Ninh corporation) for teaching staff of USSH took place on February 27-28. Over 80 lecturers of all units were instructed by UPM's technicians on creating accounts and establishing teaching syllabuses online, which will be an ingredient in their teaching activities in the next semester.

In February 2020, THE - Times Higher Education, published the Emerging Economies University Rankings 2020, in which, Vietnam has 3 ranked higher education institutions, out of 533 universities from 47 countries included in the ranking.

Workshop on improving the responsibility of the Tourism sector for wildlife conservation in HCM City

On December 20th-21st, 2019, USSH, VNU Hanoi's Tourism and Scientific Services Company (TASS) started the training course on "Knowledge and responsibility of the tourism sector for wildlife conservation" for tourism personnel in Ho Chi Minh City.

USSH and Facebook cooperate to integrate the module Digital thinking

From December 16th-19th, 2019, the staff delegation of USSH, VNU Hanoi led by its Rector Pham Quang Minh visited and attended a workshop at Facebook Singapore - the headquarters of Facebook Asia-Pacific. The workshop focused on the potential cooperation in developing the first module/subject in Digital thinking to be taught at universities in Vietnam.

On December 10th, 2019, at USSH the 169th Assessment at Programme Level by the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) for USSH's Bachelor's program in History was started.
