VNU-USSH attends the 2nd Vietnam - Russian Federation University Rectors' Forum

Within the framework of the working trip to the Russian Federation, the delegation of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam (from April 15 to 20, 2024) attended the 2nd Vietnam - Russian Federation University Rectors' Forum held on April 18, 2024 at MVLomonosov Moscow State University, the largest university in the Russian Federation, where 11 alumni and lecturers have won Nobel Prizes and 06 others have received Fields Medals.

The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam Hoang Minh Son; Vietnamese Ambassador to the Russian Federation Dang Minh Khoi; President of the Association of Rectors of Russian Universities, Rector of MGU - Academician Viktor Sadovnichy; and representatives of nearly 40 universities of the Russian Federation and 21 universities of Vietnam.

At the forum, delegates discussed bilateral cooperation in the fields of science and education, exchanged outstanding experiences and practices, and signed documents to deepen humanitarian cooperation between universities of Vietnam and Russia in the fields of education, science and technology. Delegates expressed their belief that the results achieved in this Forum will create momentum, opening up important steps in the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and the Russian Federation in the field of education and training, contributing to raising the Vietnam-Russian Federation relationship with a long history, loyalty and depth to a new height.
With the position of one of the leading training institutions in the field of social sciences and humanities, with a tradition of more than 80 years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has signed cooperation documents with a number of partners, universities and research institutes of the Russian Federation in research, training, academic exchange, and teaching Vietnamese. Over the years, many lecturers of the University have studied in Russia and every year, USSH also welcomes many professors, experts and students from Russia to teach, research and study.
The cooperation results are very remarkable but not commensurate with the potential and strengths of the two sides. Therefore, at the Forum, the leaders of USSH expressed their desire and expectation to promote the cooperation between VNU-USSH and Russian partners in a more extensive, practical and effective direction.
