Research activities

The Faculty specializes in area and country studies with an emphasis on the Asian countries. The Faculty's staff has published around 150 articles in 5 years. Since 2010, the Faculty has finished 04 research projects at State level, 01 at Ministry level, 03 at VNU level, 13 at University level; published many textbooks, monographs and lectures; and held many domestic and international conferences. Every year, the Faculty holds a research conference for students and academic seminars for young staff with the sponsorship of Toshiba Foundation (Japan).

Prominent research papers and projects:

• The series of lectures "Studying the Asian community"

• Joint research project on Vietnam's rural areas in collaboration with Kyoto University (Japan) and the Asian Association for Rural Studies

• Collaborate with Showa Women University (Japan) to investigate and preserve cultural heritage.
