- Systematically present and explain the policies and measures to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee from 1986 to 2011.

- Objectively assess the advantages and limitations; from there, summarize experiences, provide scientific arguments for the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee to continue to promote leadership in hunger eradication and poverty reduction in the coming time.

- This thesis objectively evaluates the strong points and weaknesses in the poverty reduction movement, then summarizes experiences to provide scientific conclusions so that Ben Tre Provincial Party can continue to improve their the poverty reduction movement leading in the next phase.
