11. Summary of the new findings of the dissertation:

(1).Psychological disorders in children living in violent families are understood as abnormal mental health conditions caused by domestic violence, manifested primarily emotionally as anxiety and depression, typically behaviorally as aggressive and delinquent behavior, most clearly in terms of cognition as distorted perceptions of themselves and their families; and physically as psychosomatic disturbances such as stomach aches, headaches, and rashes.

(2).The results of the study using the Children's Self-Assessment Behavior Inventory (YSR) showed that, out of a total of 141 children living in violent families: 51 children (36.2%) did not have psychological disorders; 50 children (35.5%) were in a borderline state between normal and pathological; and 40 children (28.3%) had psychological disorders. Anxiety-depression and aggressive behavior were the most common clinical signs and symptoms among the children. Clinical symptoms such as psychosomatic disorders, anxiety-depression, withdrawal, deviant behavior, aggression, etc., were quite closely linked in children with psychological disorders.

(3). Children living in violent families with psychological disorders have more difficulty adapting to society, solving problematic situations and school than children living in violent families without psychological disorders.

(4). Repeated parental violence, guilt, parental punishment whenever children make mistakes, and the mother's mental health are factors that increase psychological distress in children.

(5).Group intervention through life skills education is an effective intervention method for children who are in a borderline state between normal and pathological or who have mild psychological disturbances. However, group intervention is not effective for children living in violent families who have severe psychological disturbances or show signs of depression.

12. Practical applications:The research findings of this thesis provide a scientific basis and useful reference material for individuals, agencies, and social organizations working in the field of preventing domestic violence; protecting, caring for, and educating children.
