- Research purpose of the thesis: The thesis analyzes and clarifies the development of the foreign relations of the Communist Party of Vietnam from 2011 to 2019 in the theoretical and practical fields. On that basis, the thesis proposes recommendations to improve the quality of activities and promote the role of the Party's foreign affairs in the country's general foreign relations.

Research methods used
The author uses general research methods in social sciences and humanities and methods in international relations. The historical research method examines the party's foreign relations in a continuous process from 2011 to 2019 in historical connection with many other factors and impacts from the world and the region. The logical method is to find out the nature, inevitable trends and movements in the development of foreign relations of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The policy analysis and synthesis analysis methods are to analyze the foreign policy of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the characteristics of the international and domestic context, the developments, the process of perception and implementation in the practice of foreign relations, from which to synthesize to form comments and evaluate the implementation of the foreign policy of the Communist Party of Vietnam. - Based on a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the foreign relations of the Communist Party of Vietnam from 2011 to 2019, the thesis affirms the correctness of the foreign policy of multilateralization, diversification, and the policy of expanding foreign relations of the Communist Party of Vietnam with the aim of ensuring the supreme interests of the nation.
- The thesis can be used directly for professional work at agencies doing foreign affairs and diplomacy; as a reference document for teaching and researching foreign policy, as well as political science, regional studies, international relations at academies, schools, agencies and research institutes.

To ensure to the utmost State and national interests on the basis of fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter and international law, equality, cooperation and mutual benefit. To combine the nation's strength with that of the times, and be proactive and active in comprehensive and in-depth international integration; Vietnam is a friend, a reliable partner, and an active and responsible member of the international community.
