Research methods
Documentary research method: The thesis examined 204 documents related to deviant behavior among high school students and related factors. Approximately one-third of these documents were domestic, while the remainder were in foreign languages.
Survey method using questionnaires: This is the main method of the thesis. The study conducted a questionnaire survey on 914 samples of high school students at 7 schools in Dong Thap province, including 4 schools in the city of the province and 3 schools in the districts.
In-depth interview method: The study also conducted 15 in-depth interviews with students and 10 in-depth interviews with teachers from high schools for the purpose of surveying.
Key results
The behavioral patterns of high school students in Dong Thap mainly consist of less serious behaviors, leaning towards violations of school discipline and some aggressive behaviors. Disciplinary violations on the internet and substance abuse are less common.
Family bonding reduces students' learning difficulties.
School engagement reduces students' learning difficulties.
The family's disciplinary style increases the student's learning capacity.

12. Directions for further research:
The research findings of this thesis open up avenues for further study on family and school bonding behaviors in the context of educational reform and current cultural integration. School and family bonding are also topics that require future research, as there are relatively few studies on this subject in Vietnam.
Furthermore, the factor of depression needs to be studied more extensively because it is not only a mental health issue but also a factor that influences deviant behavior in students.
