With the goal of integrating the Faculty of Literature into the international academic environment, in recent years, the Faculty has continuously promoted cooperation activities with domestic and foreign organizations such as: the Institute of Literature, the Institute of Han Nom Studies, the Buddhist Academy, the Tran Nhan Tong Institute, Nha Nam Culture and Communication Joint Stock Company, Literature Publishing House, Vietnam Women's Publishing House, Tre Publishing House... At the same time, the Faculty of Literature has also established a number of international cooperation relationships with organizations such as Aix Marseille University, Paris 7 University (Republic of France); Charles University (Czech Republic); Peking University, Beijing Foreign Studies University (China); National Cheng Kung University, Kinmen University, Taiwan Museum of Modern Literature, Tainan City Cultural Department (Taiwan, China)...
Every year, the Faculty of Literature welcomes many international students, graduate students, and researchers (from China, Ireland, the United States, etc.) to attend undergraduate training programs or give presentations and exchange expertise with faculty and students of the Faculty.
The Faculty of Literature consistently maintains effective professional activities, organizing scientific seminars once a month to exchange ideas on important academic issues, introduce new research works, and new literary works. This is the result of cooperation with domestic research and publishing units and has created a significant impact within the professional community as well as in society. Notable examples include the book launches of "Children with the Epidemic" (Tran Nha Thuy, in collaboration with Tre Publishing House), "Grave of Youth" (Huynh Trong Khang, in collaboration with Nha Nam Book Company), "Legend of Kim Thiep Vu Mon" (Tham Giang Tran Gia Ninh, in collaboration with Literature Publishing House), "Empress Tu Du" (Tran Thuy Mai, in collaboration with Vietnam Women's Publishing House), "About Hana" (Translator Binh Slavická, in collaboration with Women's Publishing House), "Street Stories" (Pham Quang Long, in collaboration with Vietnam Women's Publishing House)...
In addition, the Faculty of Literature has promoted international cooperation by inviting professors, researchers from universities around the world, and writers to exchange expertise, such as: a presentation by Prof. Dr. Sun Laichen - University of California Fullerton, USA, on "The International Influence of the Work 'The Sorrow of War'"; a seminar with Professor Colas Duflo, University of Paris Nanterre; a seminar on "Similarities and Differences between Taiwanese and Vietnamese Literature" presented by Professor Jiang Weiwen from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan; a lecture on "The Birth of Journeys through Travel Literature of the Heian-Edo Period" by Professor Kuramoto Kazuhiro; a presentation on the study of Vietnamese cultural and historical documents by Professor Tran Ich Nguyen (National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan); and a lecture by Professor Shimizu Masaaki (Osaka University, Japan) on the topic of reading Sino-Vietnamese for graduate students of Sino-Vietnamese studies. The Faculty of Literature also accepts interns from Taiwan and organizes a summer Chinese language course offering free Chinese language instruction to students of the Faculty of Literature - a result of cooperation with the Department of Chinese Literature, Kinmen University, Taiwan; and exchanges with Belgian writer Jean-Pierre Orban…
