In its professional activities, the Philosophy Department regularly monitors and supports students' learning process through training assistants and academic advisors. In addition, the Department utilizes a student self-governance system such as class committees, student unions, student associations, and student chapters for each year and class. Thanks to this, the Department's leadership can promptly understand students' academic progress and provide necessary advice.
Before starting their studies, students can find information about the training program through the University's and Faculty's websites. Support policies, training programs, and course lectures are all publicly available, helping students to fully understand the learning process at the Faculty.
Student counseling is provided directly by a Vice Dean in charge of student affairs, along with faculty members acting as academic advisors. Issues such as course selection, student research topics, dissertations, and feedback on poor academic performance can be addressed by the Faculty's academic advisors. Additionally, students can contact academic assistants for information and assistance through in-person meetings, phone calls, or emails. Essentially, the Faculty's academic assistants and academic advisors are very quick and responsive to student inquiries.
During their studies, students receive support for scientific research through the annual Student Scientific Research Conference.
Students can participate in extracurricular activities organized by the Youth Union and the Student Association: thematic extracurricular activities, field trips, summer volunteer programs, Philosophy festivals, etc. These are all opportunities to help students improve their academic skills, scientific research skills, and life skills.
Each semester and academic year, students with good academic performance, students who are class officers, members of student unions and associations, and underprivileged students who overcome difficulties, always have many good opportunities to receive scholarships from domestic and international funds and organizations.
