For many consecutive years, the Student Union and Student Association of the Faculty of Information and Library Science have consistently been leading the emulation movement of the Youth Union and Student Association of the University. The Faculty is proud to host 1 to 2 university-level activities each year, each activity reflecting the Faculty's unique characteristics, aligned with its strengths in professional work, and providing practical value to students, such as:
*Volunteer Library UPThis project brings knowledge and a love of books to schools in remote areas. Faculty and students have jointly collected and processed books according to professional library standards, packaged them, and directly transported them to schools in these areas. In addition to donating books, each trip also includes book presentation competitions and group activities, as well as interactions with teachers and students. Over the 10 years from 2014 to 2024, the LEN Volunteer Library has reached remote regions of the country: Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Yen Bai, and Hoa Binh. This meaningful activity of the Faculty has been honored with the "..." award.Vu A Dinh AwardAwarded by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in 2017.
* The USSH IT Championship (Computer Skills Competition): The most vibrant and exciting playground for technology enthusiasts at the Faculty of Humanities. The competition helps discover talented individuals with essential computer skills such as information searching, word processing, spreadsheet management, and presentation design. Furthermore, the competition helps students become more confident in using computers, providing many unique and interesting technology tips.
*USSH Book FestivalA place where the love for books, reading, and knowledge is spread. At the Humanities Book Fair, students can experience many interesting models related to books and reading, such as book fairs, weeks of screenings of films adapted from books, and book cafes. In addition, every book lover can directly participate in competitions such as video design, poster design, book presentation, and book selling.
* Humanities Book TreeThis is an activity to collect materials to build a shared library. Through the "Book Tree," the Faculty has initiated a "give and receive" model, with the spirit that each individual contributes at least one book to the "Tree" and can also take another book. Books and periodicals are thus circulated to those in need, thereby contributing to promoting a reading culture and a spirit of sharing throughout the school.
