The University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, was one of the higher education institutions participating in the 2020 Career Guidance and Admissions Counseling Fair. The program, organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the General Department of Vocational Education (Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs), took place on June 21st at Hanoi University of Technology.

Students and parents crowded the booth of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, at the college admissions counseling event.

“I aspire to apply to the university but haven't fully grasped the curriculum of all the majors. Thanks to the enthusiastic guidance from the teachers and senior students, I now understand more about the university's programs,” shared Cam Nhung.

The counselors are open, friendly, and enthusiastic in helping students who wish to apply to the school.

"I've long dreamed of becoming a humanities student. After hearing the advice, I'm even more determined to pursue my dream," shared Lan Anh.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hong (Training Department) advises candidates at the school's booth.

Before giving advice at the booth, Professor Hong participated in the admissions counseling panel inside the auditorium. Responding to a question about why social sciences and humanities seem less valued than natural sciences and technology, he said: “Parallel to the economic development of society is the need to address spiritual and social issues. This is the premise for social sciences and humanities to increasingly play an important role.”

Parents also accompanied their children during the college admissions counseling session.

The fact that the booth of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was packed throughout the admissions counseling session shows that the university's training programs are becoming increasingly attractive and drawing the attention of students.
