Reproductive health care is not just about acquiring medical knowledge, but also about how each person shows respect, love, and protection for their own body. With this message, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) is organizing a seminar titled “Listen to Yourself – Be Confident and Slay” tonight, October 14, 2026, providing female students with practical knowledge about sexual health, reproductive health, and self-care skills.

The program was organized to commemorate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 – October 20, 2026), and was implemented by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with Kao Vietnam Company (Laurier brand).

Listen to your body, learn to love and protect yourself.

Reproductive health is a crucial part of holistic health, directly impacting the physical, mental, and quality of life of each individual. Especially for female students in their formative years, understanding their bodies, recognizing physiological changes, and proactively caring for their reproductive health is of practical significance in their academic journey, personal development, and self-affirmation.

However, sexual and reproductive health are sometimes still topics that young people are hesitant to discuss, learn about, or seek support for. A lack of scientific knowledge and psychological reluctance can make it difficult for them to identify health problems, choose appropriate care methods, and protect themselves.

With an open, friendly, and respectful atmosphere, the "Listen to Yourself - Slay with Confidence" seminar provided an opportunity for female students to access scientific knowledge, confidently ask questions, share concerns, and better understand their own healthcare needs.

Accompanying the program are two experts: MSc. Dr. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hanoi Medical University, currently working at Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital; and MSc. Nguyen Hien Minh, expert in Social Work and Psychotherapy.

Through medical and psychological perspectives, the program aims to raise female students' awareness of reproductive health care, while encouraging them to proactively seek knowledge, listen to their bodies, and seek professional advice when needed.

The program aims to spread a simple yet meaningful message: Understand your body to know how to care for, love, and protect yourself. Proactively taking care of your reproductive health is also a way of showing responsibility and respect for yourself.

The seminar "Listen to Yourself - Slay with Confidence" is one of the meaningful activities organized by VNU-USSH in October 2026, continuing the series of programs welcoming new students of the QH-2026-X (K71) cohort.

Previously, on October 11, 2026, the University met with the parents of new students of cohort K71 through the Parent Conference for the QH-2026-X cohort, organizing a series of exciting activities including the USSH Sports Day, Clubs Day, and the 2026 Take-off Gala.

While Sports Day offers energetic physical experiences, Clubs Day opens opportunities to explore interests, develop talents, and connect with friends, the 2026 Take-off Gala is a stage for the youth of the Faculty of Humanities to showcase their creativity, confidence, and team spirit.

Following these activities, the seminar "Listen to Yourself - Be Confident and Slay" provided female students of the Faculty of Humanities with practical knowledge about reproductive health care, helping them better understand their bodies, learn how to care for and protect themselves, and become more confident on their journey to adulthood.

From sports, cultural, and artistic activities to knowledge-building and life skills programs, the K71 freshman orientation program has created diverse experiences, helping students gradually familiarize themselves with the university environment, discover themselves, and build new relationships.

Through these activities, VNU-USSH continues to affirm its concern for the physical and mental well-being and holistic development of its students. This is also how the university concretizes its student-centered education orientation, building a humane and dynamic university environment where each student is encouraged to develop their abilities, nurture their passions, and grow alongside their teachers and peers.
