Representing the university were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh – Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Pham Hoang Hung - Head of the Cooperation and Development Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Thanh Nam - Head of the Training Department, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Cam Lan - Head of the Linguistics Faculty.

During the meeting, Vice Rector Lai Quoc Khanh emphasized the university's tradition of research and training in social sciences and humanities, while affirming the importance of international cooperation and development between the university and universities worldwide. Associate Professor Lai Quoc Khanh shared: With the mission of leading in training high-quality, highly skilled human resources; researching, creating, and disseminating knowledge in the field of social sciences and humanities, the university always prioritizes strengthening cooperation with international educational and research organizations and reputable scientists around the world. Currently, the university's scientific human resources have great potential in international research and training cooperation, with approximately 70% of lecturers holding doctoral degrees and over 27% holding professorships or associate professorships out of nearly 600 staff and lecturers. Many of these scientists are leading experts in the field of social sciences and humanities research nationwide.
Accordingly, the university has established cooperative relationships with 60 universities and research institutes in China. Chinese students and trainees study at VNU-USSH in various fields across programs ranging from bachelor's to master's and doctoral degrees, as well as short-term training programs. They are provided with the best possible learning environment, healthcare, and opportunities for cultural exchange with Vietnamese students.
Associate Professor Tang Khiem, Vice President of the International Language and Culture Institute, Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, shared about future academic and student exchange opportunities. Yunnan University of Finance and Economics is a leading institution in economics, particularly in economics and management, offering four doctoral programs. According to Associate Professor Tang Khiem, the university emphasizes diversity in learning and research, and aims for cultural exchange between Vietnam and China in general, and between the three universities in particular. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, with its strengths in social science research, along with the International Language and Culture Institute and Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, will have extensive cooperation projects in the future. Moving forward, the university will send 29 outstanding students from Yunnan to study and conduct research at VNU-USSH, aiming for student exchange and cultural experience in Vietnam.

Associate Professor Bui Thanh Nam - Head of the Training Department shared: International integration is the main goal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The university always prioritizes educational culture and ensures the ability to fulfill international commitments. Over the past period, USSH – VNU has successfully signed approximately 400 memoranda of understanding with partners around the world, especially with universities and research institutes in China. Every year, the university also welcomes many international students and researchers to study, with an expected 1000 students this year. To create the best conditions for foreign students, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities offers many short-term programs, delivered in multiple languages to suit the needs of learners. With its consistent policy of "Serving students, putting students at the center," the University of Social Sciences and Humanities welcomes students from Yunnan to study and hopes to have the opportunity to welcome more professors to research, teach, and work at VNU - USSH.
