University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

On the morning of May 22, 2026, the 3rd Conference of Rectors of Universities of Vietnam and the Russian Federation took place in Hanoi, with the participation of representatives from more than 100 universities from Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

On the afternoon of May 14, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, held a meeting with a delegation from De Gruyter Brill Publishing House and CDIMEX (Cultural Import-Export and Development Joint Stock Company). The meeting opened up many prospects for cooperation in enhancing the university's international publication standing and sharing academic resources for its staff and lecturers.

On April 21, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, hosted a reception and working session with a delegation from the Catholic University of Eszterházy Károly (Hungary).

On the afternoon of April 20, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU Hanoi) held a meeting with a delegation from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Vietnam to discuss cooperation in training, research, and cultural exchange.

On the morning of April 17, 2026, within the framework of the "Job Fair for Students and Cooperation Agreement Signing Day 2026" at Hanoi Metropolitan University, leaders and staff of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU Hanoi) held a working session and in-depth exchange on strategic cooperation activities with the Hanoi Institute of Studies and International Training.

On the afternoon of April 7, 2026, Vice Rector Dang Thi Thu Huong chaired a meeting with a delegation from the Sayling Wen Foundation for Culture and Education and the University Alliance in Talent Education Development (UAiTED).

As part of the activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand (1976–2026), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, organized a Vietnam-Thailand cultural exchange program with the participation of Ms. Urawadee Sriphiromya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam.

This was the content affirmed at the working session and renewal of the cooperation agreement between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and the French School of Far Eastern Studies (EFEO) on November 12, 2025.

SVO - In her graduation speech, Minh Thuy, the valedictorian of the International Studies program (VNU-USSH), mentioned her trip to South Korea as a turning point in her student life. On August 18, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (USSH) held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with the French Classical Literature Academy.

Within the framework of the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Memorial Complex for Vietnamese and Lao Heroes and Martyrs on July 27th in Xiengkhouang province (Lao People's Democratic Republic), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) officially announced the awarding of 10 full scholarships to outstanding students of Xiengkhouang province.

Nearly 1,100 new graduates of the K66 cohort from 16 faculties/institutes were honored to receive their diplomas at a solemn graduation ceremony held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, on July 29-30, 2025.
