On August 26, 2026, an international scientific conference titled “Five Decades of Thailand-Vietnam Diplomatic Relations: History, Society, Culture, and Cooperation” was held at Thammasat University (Tha Prachan Campus), Thailand. This significant event was organized to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand. Simultaneously, the conference organizers also held a grand book launch ceremony for the same book, marking an important milestone in academic cooperation between the two countries.

Within the framework of the "World People's Council Days in Vietnam" program, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) continues to affirm its active role in international scientific activities, academic networking, and promoting people-to-people diplomacy between Vietnam, the Russian Federation, and international partners.

On the morning of August 21st, at the ULIS – Jonathan KS Choi Cultural Center Auditorium, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, held an exchange program and signed memoranda of cooperation with The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). The program was attended by Professor Lee Chi-Kin John, President of the Education University of Hong Kong, along with leaders of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and representatives from member and affiliated units.

On the afternoon of August 20, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held a working session with Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB) to discuss the results of past cooperation and future collaboration directions, aiming to leverage the strengths of both sides in training, scientific research, student support, and contributions to the community and society.

On the afternoon of August 12, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with Bao Hung Investment Joint Stock Company and Free Horse Film Joint Stock Company. The agreement serves as a basis for the parties to strengthen coordination in scientific research, preservation and promotion of historical, cultural, and heritage values, while also promoting film, media, and cultural industry development activities.

The Faculty of Politics and International Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, acted as the coordinating body to welcome a delegation of faculty members and students from Peking University for a visit, study, and exchange of experiences.

The Admissions Council of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, announces the admission scores (cut-off scores) for 29 undergraduate programs/majors in 2026.

On the morning of August 6, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in collaboration with Tam Chuc Tourism Services Co., Ltd., organized a scientific seminar titled "Muong People's Cultural Identity: Traditional Values ​​and Contemporary Vitality" in room E304, Building E, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

On August 6, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Tam Chuc Tourism Services Co., Ltd., with a total value of nearly 3 billion VND, aiming to leverage the strengths of each party in training, research, and human resource development.

On the afternoon of August 4, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held a working session with a delegation from JinZai Corporation (Japan), a member of the Zensho Group, to discuss cooperation in the areas of business networking, human resource development, and expanding international employment opportunities for students. The meeting was attended by representatives from both sides, along with faculty and staff from the Faculty of Oriental Studies.

On the afternoon of July 22, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held a meeting with Mr. Shadi Abuzarqa, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Vietnam.

SVO - Setting her sights on being a leader from her first year, Duong Thi Thao Van excelled, completing her university program early in 3.5 years and becoming the valedictorian of the Public Relations major at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi). Behind this achievement lies a remarkable journey of effort, where at times, Thao Van simultaneously juggled three different jobs, readily embracing every challenge to transform pressure into practical value.

On the morning of July 21, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) welcomed and held a working meeting with a delegation from the Central Culture Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Association to exchange and finalize a plan for coordinating the 2026 Vu Lan Festival program with the theme "Illuminating Gratitude in the Vu Lan Season - Enlightening the Path in Life".

On the morning of June 29, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and the Korea Foundation (KF) held a working session to discuss various cooperation directions in training, scientific research, human resource development, and the implementation of new projects on Korean studies.
