Welcoming the delegation of Thai Binh University

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan briefly introduced the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The University currently has 17 faculties and institutes, 32 bachelor's programs, more than 40 master's programs and more than 30 doctoral programs. The Vice President shared experiences in the training, scientific research and quality assessment activities of the University, and expressed his hope that the two sides will soon carry out cooperation activities in areas of common interest.

In response, Dr. Tran Thi Hoa expressed her thanks for the welcome of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and shared about the activities of Thai Binh University. On that basis, Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong (Director of the Admissions and Career Center of Thai Binh University) expressed his desire to cooperate in training with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the fields of social work, public relations, office management, and library information to train, standardize, and improve the quality of human resources in the province.

In response to Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong's request, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan said that the University is very willing to help Thai Binh University in training cooperation. In particular, the two sides can apply distance training based on online teaching and learning platforms that the University has effectively applied in the past. In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Thanh Nam (Head of Training Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities) also proposed that the two sides build a joint training program and issue Vietnamese proficiency certificates, in order to support improving the quality of foreign labor resources in industrial parks in Thai Binh province.

Thai Binh University was established under Decision No. 1555/QD-TTg dated September 8, 2011 of the Prime Minister on the basis of upgrading Thai Binh College of Economics and Technology. The school is under the People's Committee of Thai Binh province and is supervised in training by the Ministry of Education and Training. Currently, the school has 9 undergraduate majors including Law, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology... 17 professional college majors including Business Administration, Accounting, Finance and Banking... By the beginning of 2020, the total number of students in the school is over 3,500 people, with modern facilities and job links with many large enterprises across the country.
