After the Literature exam, many candidates said: The Literature exam for Group C was difficult but good. It can be immediately affirmed that with such an exam, it will certainly be easy to classify and select truly talented candidates. All three questions required candidates to have strong analytical and evaluative skills.Pham Thi Hang (from Thai Binh province), a candidate applying for the Social Work major at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, said: "The Literature exam for Block C, while closely following the curriculum, was difficult. From the very first question, the way it was phrased could easily mislead many candidates if they didn't read the questions carefully. All three questions required not only rote memorization but also a thorough understanding of the works and authors, as well as the ability to compare and analyze. I answered 70% correctly, but I'm not entirely sure!" Many candidates were surprised that the Literature exam for Block C included works from both the 11th and 12th grade curricula. The social commentary question addressed issues considered topical and of concern to young people: "Responsibility and Irresponsibility." "Without a strong understanding of social issues and pressing problems in society, it wouldn't be easy to answer this question," commented Nguyen Thi Hanh (exam candidate for Literature). Although the exam questions were mostly within the curriculum, many candidates unfortunately overlooked the knowledge recall question (Question 1). Candidate Dinh Thi Bich Hoa (from Ninh Binh, taking the exam at Phan Dinh Giot Secondary School) expressed regret: "I was overconfident and overlooked the author Ho Chi Minh, focusing only on Nguyen Tuan and Xuan Dieu, so I lost points on this question."

In the optional section, both questions (IIIa and IIIb) asked candidates to express their feelings about two poems (Tràng Giang and Đây Thôn Vĩ Dạ), two famous works from the New Poetry movement (question IIIa), and the lyrical beauty of two rivers in two essays: “The Ferryman on the Đà River” (Nguyễn Tuân) and “Who Named the River?” (Hoàng Phủ Ngọc Tường) (question IIIb). To achieve a high score, candidates needed to compare the commonalities in content, artistic style, and imagery between the two poems and essays. The Literature exam lasted 180 minutes, but many candidates left the exam room after two-thirds of the time. Candidate Ngô Việt Hiệp (Hanoi), taking the exam at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, said sadly, “I tried my best, but I could only manage this much before running out of ideas, so I left because the exam wasn’t going smoothly.” Many other candidates who left early simply walked away in silence when asked. It can be said that, for candidates in Group C, the Literature exam as analyzed above is reasonable in terms of filtering and selecting talented individuals. It can be seen as an exam that encourages creative teaching. However, because of this, very few candidates may achieve high scores.
