The conference was chaired by the Presidium, which included: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hong Son – Vice Rector of the University; Dr. Dinh Tien Hieu – Head of the Training and Student Affairs Department; Dr. Duong Tat Thanh – Secretary of the University's Youth Union, along with the participation of representatives from the leadership of functional departments and training units.
Presidium of the University Leadership-Student Dialogue for the 2025-2026 academic year
Speaking at the conference, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hong Son – Vice Rector of the University – emphasized that students are always considered the center of all development directions of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Student dialogue is an important information channel for the University to closely understand the practical situation, listen to the concerns of students, and thereby promptly adjust training policies and student support activities.

During the dialogue, students expressed great interest in scholarship policies, selection criteria, application methods, and scholarship awarding procedures; tuition fee exemptions and reductions for the National Defense and Security Education course; and club activities, student movements, and academic playgrounds under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Representatives from the Training and Student Affairs Department, Dr. Pham Van Hue and Dr. Le Tuyet Mai, exchanged and clarified issues related to training, admissions, scholarship policies, and student support, thereby helping students better understand the regulations and directions of the University.
Dr. Pham Van Hue, representing the Department of Training and Student Affairs, discussed issues related to training and student recruitment.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai provided information on scholarship policies and student support programs.
Regarding facilities, Mr. Nguyen Van Thuy, Head of the Administrative and General Affairs Department, received and addressed students' concerns related to learning conditions, lecture hall spaces, and campus landscape. The school will continue to implement maintenance and upgrade plans, and student feedback will serve as an important basis for reviewing and prioritizing investments in the future.
MSc. Nguyen Van Thuy answered students' questions about the facilities for learning and teaching at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Regarding tuition fees and scholarships, Ms. Kim Thi Diep Ha, Head of the Planning and Finance Department, answered questions about tuition fee rates, adjustment schedules, and scholarship payment procedures, affirming that payments are made in accordance with regulations; the main issues stem from the process of completing student applications and verifying student information.

Regarding exchange and study abroad programs, Dr. Trinh Van Dinh and Ms. Luong Ngoc Vinh - representatives of the Cooperation and Development Department - provided information on the conditions, criteria, and opportunities to participate in international programs, encouraging students to proactively integrate and expand their academic experiences.

Ms. Luong Ngoc Vinh introduced opportunities to participate in collaborative programs, study abroad, and gain academic experience.
In addition, students also submitted many specific questions related to the training program, study plan, student scientific research activities, internship and job opportunities to representatives of the Faculty leadership. In response to these suggestions, the Faculty leadership representatives directly discussed, answered, and clarified issues within their area of expertise, while also noting the proposals aimed at further improving the training program, enhancing teaching quality, and strengthening student support activities in the future.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Nam Hoang - representing the leadership of the Faculty of Literature - answered students' questions about job opportunities.
In his closing remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hong Son acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, frankness, and proactiveness of the students in their learning process and dialogue with the university. He also requested that the participating students, representing the entire student body, continue to share and disseminate information and the results of the dialogue to their respective classes and departments. The university affirmed its commitment to maintaining and enhancing the effectiveness of both direct and online dialogue channels, accompanying students in the new academic year, and working towards building an increasingly effective, high-quality, and humane learning environment.
