Commending 152 Outstanding Young People at the Grassroots Level in 2025: Spreading the Aspiration for Contribution of Humanistic Youth

The year 2025 marks a period of great effort and breakthroughs for the youth of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, in teaching, scientific research, learning, training, and emulation movements. To acknowledge and honor these achievements, on December 25, 2025, the University will solemnly organize the Ceremony to Commend Outstanding Young People at the grassroots level in 2025.
 
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hong Son - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, delivered the opening speech at the ceremony.
The program honored 152 outstanding young people, including 10 faculty members, 123 students, and 19 high school students – exemplary representatives of the creative and responsible youth of the humanities.
Selection criteria include faculty and lecturers under 35 years of age, possessing good political and moral character, a healthy lifestyle, and outstanding performance in their duties. They must also have outstanding achievements and results, such as innovative initiatives in management and administration; innovative teaching methods with high application effectiveness that contribute to improving the quality of teaching and learning; outstanding international publications representative of the unit; or excellent results in scientific research. Furthermore, they must actively participate in social and community activities in leadership or key positions, and in activities that create a significant social impact.
For students and trainees, the requirements include excellent academic and training results, effective participation in social and community activities, high achievements in regional and international Olympic competitions, and first prizes in national student excellence competitions, national Olympic competitions, and competitions in technology, sports, and entrepreneurship at the ministerial or sectoral level.
In addition to the commendation ceremony, the school, in collaboration with the Foundation for Vietnamese Stature, awarded 10 scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have shown great determination to succeed, each scholarship worth 5,000,000 VND.
Ms. Tran Hong Diep - Director of the Foundation for Vietnamese Stature, delivered a speech at the scholarship awarding ceremony of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
The scholarship recipients' representatives expressed their sincere gratitude to the school and the benefactors.
This is the second consecutive year that the Foundation for Vietnamese Stature has partnered with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in awarding scholarships, supporting dreams and helping students overcome difficulties. From 2024 to the present, through a three-year cooperation agreement, the Foundation for Vietnamese Stature has sponsored 15 student activities and initiatives, totaling over 250 million VND, making a practical contribution to the holistic development of students.
The school would like to express its sincere gratitude to all benefactors, domestic and international organizations and agencies who have consistently provided invaluable support, both materially and spiritually, to the school and its students, enabling them to broaden their opportunities for personal development and confidently move forward on their academic journey.
The 2025 Outstanding Young People Award Ceremony at the grassroots level is not only an opportunity to honor outstanding individuals, but also to strongly spread the spirit of pioneering, creativity, and the aspiration to contribute - the core values ​​that make up the identity of the youth of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi.
