Okabe Chikara (a Japanese student studying Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) really enjoys the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, but he still misses home during such family gatherings.

Congratulations to the team from the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, for excellently winning first prize in the National Finals of the "Vietnamese Oratory Competition for Foreign Students in Vietnam" 2023, held on December 1st, 2023 at Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.

The heartfelt sentiments of former student Takano Isao and his family towards the Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, are a testament to the sacred teacher-student relationship and the warm friendship between the people of Vietnam and Japan.

As part of the activities celebrating the 55th anniversary of the Faculty's establishment and 64 years of Vietnamese language teaching tradition, on November 19, 2023, the faculty and students of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language (VNH&TV) of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, solemnly organized the "International Cultural Festival 2023 - Cultural Odyssey".

On November 18-19, 2023, the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Language (VSL) of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, solemnly celebrated its 55th anniversary and commemorated Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th. The event was attended by generations of leaders, former faculty members, lecturers, staff, students, and trainees from the faculty, as well as representatives from partner organizations.

Within the framework of the Ministry of Education and Training's working program in Northern Europe, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), discussed and agreed to support Vietnamese expatriates in Sweden in improving their Vietnamese language skills and preserving Vietnamese culture in the future.
