On January 2, 2025, the Steering Committee on summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW and developing and deploying the Project on streamlining the organizational structure of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) issued Notice No. 05/TB-XHNV - Orientation plan of the USSH Steering Committee on streamlining the organizational structure of the USSH. This is considered an important step in the effort to improve the management and operation efficiency of the University in order to comprehensively innovate to continue the development of the University in the direction of an advanced research university, affirming its professional reputation, and enhancing its position domestically and internationally.

The implementation of innovation and organizational restructuring according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Central Executive Committee is considered a major and comprehensive "revolution". This is an important step, creating a solid foundation to improve the quality and comprehensive efficiency in all aspects of VNU's work.
