University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

On July 2nd, 2026, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, organized a training program to enhance the capacity for implementing university ranking. The program aims to achieve the University's overall strategic development goals and ranking objectives by 2030; while also strengthening the University's academic prestige and position within the academic community and among domestic and international employers.

On June 18, 2026, the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) ranking organization announced the results of the QS World University Rankings 2027 (QS WUR 2027). Accordingly, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-Hanoi) continued to improve its ranking for the fourth consecutive year, placing it in the group of 751-760 best higher education institutions in the world. This is VNU-Hanoi's highest ranking ever in this ranking.

These are the results of the 2026 university rankings published by the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) education organization on March 25, 2026.

On March 12, 2025, the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) educational organization announced the results of its ranking of 55 fields across 5 groups of 1,747 higher education institutions with approximately 21,000 training programs. For the first time, the Sociology field of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, was ranked 301-375 globally.

On December 10, 2024, the QS ranking organization announced the results of the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025 for 1,751 higher education institutions worldwide. In this ranking, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) made significant progress, ranking 325th globally (an increase of 456 places compared to its ranking in the top 781-790 in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024), 51st in Asia, and 1st in Vietnam. The results were announced on the anniversary of VNU's founding (December 10, 1993 - December 10, 2024).
