Opportunity to receive PhD scholarships at Harvard - Yenching Institute and National University of Singapore for candidates from USSH for the academic year 2024 - 2025

1. Requirements for scholarship applicants:
Applicants for the HYI-NUS Scholarship must be working in the humanities and social sciences, with an emphasis on cultural studies. Priority will be given to applicants with a comparative research focus, including one or more Asian countries. Topics in East or Southeast Asian Studies, in an interdisciplinary or specialized approach. Eligible areas of study include:

1. Anthropology	8. Media and Film Studies
2. Archaeology	9. Philosophy
3. Regional and International Research	10. Politics
4. History of Art and Architecture	11. Religious Studies
5. History (including economic and legal history)	12. Sociology
6. Linguistics	13. Women, Gender and Sexology
7. Literature

Additionally, applicants in the fields of Economics, Education, Geography, Law, Psychology and Public Administration may be considered, but must be screened by the Institute prior to application.
2. Scholarship level and study location:
Candidates will receive a full scholarship for a 4-year program, including 3 years at the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, National University of Singapore and 1 year at Harvard University (USA).
