1. Requirements for scholarship applicants:Applicants for the HYI-NUS Scholarship must be working in the humanities and social sciences, with an emphasis on cultural studies. Priority will be given to applicants with a comparative research focus, including one or more Asian countries. Topics in East or Southeast Asian Studies, in an interdisciplinary or specialized approach. Eligible areas of study include:

Additionally, applicants in the fields of Economics, Education, Geography, Law, Psychology and Public Administration may be considered, but must be screened by the Institute prior to application.
2. Scholarship level and study location:Candidates will receive a full scholarship for a 4-year program, including 3 years at the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, National University of Singapore and 1 year at Harvard University (USA).
3. Application submission time:- The deadline for receiving applications at the National University of Singapore is 01 November 2023
