Within the framework of the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Week 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is co-organizing the "Understanding Mekong Subregional Cooperation" competition.
The competition attracted outstanding students from three universities: the Academy of Journalism and Communication, Hanoi University, and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, aiming to enhance students' and the younger generation's understanding of Mekong sub-regional cooperation; and to create a platform for university students to interact, exchange knowledge, and hone their skills.
In the competition, student teams will have the opportunity to present their knowledge and experience about the Mekong region through three rounds, as well as learn about ongoing and past cooperation activities in the region. From there, they will propose new ideas and solutions for cooperation, and provide assessments and insights into the current situation and development prospects of the region.
