"USSH's Got Talent 2014"
1. PURPOSE AND SIGNIFICANCE
- The competition is organized with the most important purpose of creating a platform for students to showcase their talents and abilities, thereby learning more skills and becoming familiar with student union activities in the university environment.
ButThe competition was organized to create an environment for interaction among students, enriching their cultural and spiritual lives while honoring the teacher-student relationship, the spirit of solidarity in work and study, and working together to build a continuously developing university.
ButAs a novel yet practical and engaging competition for students, it serves as a meeting place for the media, businesses, sponsors, and students interested in the program.
ButBuilding upon the success of the "USSH's Got Talent 2010" humanities student talent competition and the freshman talent competitions for cohorts K56 and K57, this will lay the foundation for organizing the competition on an annual basis.
2. TIME AND LOCATION OF THE COMPETITION
2.1 Time
The competition consists of two stages: preliminary and final.
- Expected dates: + Preliminary round: 4:00 PM, September 16, 2014
+ Final round: 7:00 PM, September 27, 2014
2.2 Location
- Preliminary round: Auditorium on the 8th floor of building E
- Final round: Outdoor stage
3. COMPETITION RULES
3.1. Eligible participants:Students in full-time programs, including international students.
3.2. Competition Format
- The organizers encourage participation in all forms, including dancing, singing, hosting, acting, instrumental performances, magic shows, etc. Performances should be novel, creative, and have rich content.
- Performances that fall under the prohibited categories of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, or that are incompatible with Vietnamese customs, traditions, and ethics, are not allowed to participate in the competition.
3.3. Time allotted for each section of the exam
- Each contestant has 3 to 5 minutes to perform their part, not including preparation time (over 1 minute will result in a deduction of 5 points for each minute over the allotted time from the average score for that part).
- Contestants who are absent or arrive late without permission from the organizers will be disqualified from the competition.
3.4. Score
- The organizing committee is responsible for inviting a panel of judges who are professionals and reputable to evaluate and score the entries.
- Each section of the competition is worth a total of 30 points, encompassing the following criteria: content, form, and style.
- The judges may decide to award additional points to contestants depending on the format of their entry.
- All matters regarding scores are decided and the responsibility of the judging panel.
3.5. How to register for the preliminary round
Students participating in the competition can register in the following two ways:
- Register with the chapter president. The chapter is responsible for compiling a list of students who register to participate.according to the attached form) and submit it to the competition organizers via email.vpdoanhoinhanvan@gmail.com before 4:00 PM on September 12, 2014.
- Register using the Google form via the contest's fanpage.
- Register directly with the Organizing Committee at the preliminary round of the competition.
Note for contestants using backing tracks:
+ For contestants registering with the chapter president: The chapter will collect the music beats and send them along with the registration list to the Organizing Committee;
For contestants registering via Google Form: send the music beat via email.vpdoanhoinhanvan@gmail.com;
+ For contestants registering in person at the preliminary round: please copy the music beat from the registration desk and provide it to the organizers.
3.6. Training format for the Final Round
- Finalists will receive advice from the organizers on the content and style of their performances to ensure they perform their best.
- Contestants will be divided into training groups based on criteria and competition format, and will have a suitable mentor.
4. PRIZE STRUCTURE
- 1 Gold Prize: worth 1,000,000 VND + trophy + certificate
- 1 Silver Prize: worth 500,000 VND + certificate
- 2 crystal prizes: worth 200,000 VND each + certificate
- 1 promising talent award: worth 100,000 VND + certificate
- In addition, all finalists will receive a certificate from the Organizing Committee.
5. IMPLEMENTATION
- The Student Union of the university directed the organization of the competition.
- The student union will coordinate the dissemination of information and promotion to all students in its unit, especially students of cohort K59.
- Each student union will appoint one member of its Executive Committee to directly supervise students participating in the competition within their unit.
