Preliminary survey of the training programs in Vietnamese Studies and Psychology.

This morning, March 15, 2017, the External Evaluation Team (EEG) of the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (CEQA – VNU-HCM) conducted a preliminary survey at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities according to Decision No. 05/QD-TTKD dated February 10, 2017.

Preliminary survey of the training programs in Vietnamese Studies and Psychology.

The preliminary survey aims to prepare for the official survey of the University as part of the quality assessment process for the undergraduate programs in Vietnamese Studies and Psychology.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoi Nghia – Head of the Accreditation Team, working with the leadership of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Attending the preliminary survey, the Evaluation Team included the Head of the Team, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoi Nghia - Director of the Center for Quality Assurance in Education - VNU-HCM, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh - Deputy Director of the Center, along with Assoc. Prof. Tran Thi Hong and Ms. Pham Thi Bich as members and secretaries. Representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa, Vice Rector; and representatives of lecturers, staff, and employees from the Department of Vietnamese Studies and Psychology.

Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, delivered a speech at the working session.

Speaking at the opening session of the preliminary assessment, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, affirmed the role and importance of educational quality accreditation in ensuring and improving the quality of higher education institutions. The university is committed to creating the most favorable conditions in terms of facilities as well as providing information and evidence to support the preliminary survey process of the Accreditation Team.

Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh provided his assessment of the supporting documents.

During the meeting, the external evaluation team provided an overview of the quality accreditation process for standard training programs of the Ministry of Education and Training; agreed on the plan and program for the official survey of the external evaluation team at the school; and guided the school on the preparations for the official survey.

The delegation also conducted a review of supporting documents and surveyed the facilities, visiting lecture halls, classrooms, laboratories, the school library, dormitories, sports facilities, and extracurricular activity rooms, etc.

During the meeting, after the inspection, the Accreditation Expert Team reported on the results of their review of the self-assessment dossier, announced the plan for the official survey, and outlined the requirements for facilities and logistics that the School needs to prepare for the official survey. Both sides discussed and agreed on the issues the School needs to prepare: additional supporting documents, the number and composition of interviewees, the observers, and agreed on the schedule for the official survey.

The Head of the Expert Accreditation Team and the Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities signed the minutes confirming the completion of the preliminary survey.

At the conclusion of the survey, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoi Nghia - Director of the Center for Quality Assurance in Education - VNU-HCM, Head of the Evaluation Team, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, signed a Memorandum of Understanding outlining the work performed. The preliminary survey session concluded successfully.
