The first day of exam registration went smoothly.
During the registration process, candidates were briefed on the admission regulations, their responsibilities as candidates and invigilators; they received their exam cards and any errors were resolved. Candidate Nguyen Thi Thu (Thanh Hoa) said: "The teachers were very dedicated in guiding us, explaining the exam regulations, time, and location very clearly and completely." Candidate Dang Thi Thom (Bac Giang) confided: "I have completed the registration process. This morning's registration went very smoothly and conveniently, without any errors in my personal information. There were many candidates at the registration session, and seeing so many candidates made me feel nervous. I will go home to rest and prepare well so that I can be relaxed for tomorrow's exam." After completing the registration, most candidates and their families quickly returned to their rented rooms to rest and review their lessons. Candidate Nguyen Thanh Tuan (Quang Ninh) shared: "This is my second year taking the university entrance exam, so I'm not as unfamiliar as the new students." Last year, because I didn't get into university, I chose to pursue vocational training. This year, I'm retaking the entrance exam. After hearing recommendations from friends and doing some research, I've decided to apply to the Sociology Department at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

During exam days, traffic in the capital is quite congested, with many worrying about traffic jams and long journeys, so most parents look for accommodation for their children near the exam locations for convenience. Mr. Lo Van Ngoan (Dien Bien), who brought his daughter to the exam, said: "My daughter and I came to Hanoi on July 4th and found accommodation right near the school, so there's no need to worry about her getting around during the exam days. The accommodation is right near the school; the price is a bit expensive, but it's convenient and comfortable so she can concentrate well on the exam, which is great." This year's second round of university entrance exams had a cool day on the first day of registration, unlike the hot and humid days before. Concerned about their children's ability to concentrate in the heat, many parents tried to find cool accommodation. Ms. Vu Thi Linh (Hoa Binh) shared: "Luckily, the weather today is more pleasant, making things easier for the students." Yesterday, my aunt took me to look for a place to stay. We found a room right behind the school, but it was on the third floor. Yesterday afternoon, it was too hot for us to stand, so we had to take me to a friend's house on Ngo Quyen Street to stay. Today, we don't have to be there until 8 am to complete the paperwork, so we're not in a hurry, but my aunt is worried about the early exam tomorrow, as it's too far away and traffic jams would be terrible. Aunt Linh added: "Back in my hometown, we only work in the fields. This time, we had to save up a lot to afford to take you to the exam. If you pass this exam, I'll probably have to work as a domestic helper to support your education."

To support and assist candidates and their families during the second phase of the university entrance exam, the student volunteer team was present at the exam sites from early morning to guide candidates through the registration process. Pham Dang Huynh (team leader of the exam support team at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities exam site) said: "The morning registration process was the most challenging for our student volunteer team during the three days of the exam. Many candidates came from far away and were unfamiliar with the area, so we carefully and thoroughly guided them to ensure a smooth registration process. All members of the exam support team are always ready and enthusiastic to help and guide candidates. For the student volunteers, helping candidates participate in the university entrance exam is also an honor." Nguyen Thi Hanh shared: "Our team started working many days ago, with our main tasks being giving directions and guiding candidates to find affordable accommodation." And today we continue to assist candidates with the registration process. Helping candidates is not only a joy and a volunteer spirit for us, but also an honor and a source of pride. Tomorrow morning, the candidates will begin their first exam with the Literature subject.
UpdateAccording to a preliminary report from the school's admissions committee, 4,689 candidates arrived this morning to complete the registration procedures at 10 examination locations.
