Candidate Nguyen Thanh Tuan (Quang Ninh) shared: This year is my second year taking the university entrance exam, so I am not as confused as the new students. Last year, because I failed the university entrance exam, I chose to study a vocational course. This year, I continued to take the exam again. After listening to my friends' introduction and learning more information, I chose to take the exam for the Faculty of Sociology - University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Find accommodation near the exam site
During the exam days, traffic conditions in the capital are quite tense, worried about traffic jams and long distance travel, so most parents look for boarding houses for their children near the exam site for convenience. Uncle Lo Van Ngoan (Dien Bien) took his daughter to the exam and said: My father and I went to Hanoi on July 4, found a boarding house right near the school, so there was nothing to worry about when traveling during the exam days. The boarding house is right near the school, the price is a bit expensive but it is convenient and comfortable so that she can concentrate on the exam well, that's good. For the second round of university entrance exams this year, the first day of paperwork was quite cool, no longer hot and stuffy like the previous days. Loving their children and worrying that the heat would make it difficult for them to concentrate on the exam, many parents tried to find a cool place to stay. Uncle Vu Thi Linh (Hoa Binh) shared: Luckily, the weather today is more pleasant, the children have less trouble. Yesterday, my uncle took me to look for a place to stay. He asked for a room right behind the school, but it was on the third floor. Yesterday afternoon, the heat was unbearable for both of us, so we had to take me to a friend's house on Ngo Quyen to stay. Today, I have to do the paperwork and arrive at 8am, so I'm not in a hurry, but he's worried that tomorrow I'll take the exam early, it's too far away, and the traffic will be terrible. Uncle Linh shared more: In my hometown, I only work in the fields, and this time I have to save up a lot to be able to take you to the exam. If you pass this exam, I'll probably have to work as a maid to support you and your studies.
The hardest part of the 3 exam days
To support and help candidates and their families to take the second round of university entrance exams, the student volunteer team participating in the exam season support was present at the exam sites early in the morning to guide candidates through the exam procedures. Pham Dang Huynh (head of the exam season support team at the exam site of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) said: The morning of the exam procedures was the hardest day for our student volunteer team during the 3 days of the exam. Many candidates came from far away and were still unfamiliar with the road, so we participated in carefully and detailed instructions so that candidates could complete the procedures smoothly. All members of the exam season support team were always ready and enthusiastic to help and guide candidates. And for the student volunteers, helping candidates take the university entrance exam is also an honor, Nguyen Thi Hanh shared: Our team started many days ago with the main tasks of giving directions and guiding candidates to find cheap accommodation. And today we continue to guide the candidates through the procedures. Helping the candidates is not only a joy and a volunteer spirit, but also an honor and pride. Tomorrow morning, the candidates will begin their first exam with the Literature subject.
