Establish the Department of Political Science

On June 24, 2011, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh – the Rector of the University – signed a decision to establish the Faculty of Political Science based on the Department of Political Science of the University.On the same day, the Rector also signed a decision to rename the Center for Research and Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Regions to the Center for Research and Development of Ethnic Minorities, Mountainous Regions and the Red River Basin, under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Also on June 24th, the Rector signed a decision appointing Dr. Pham Thi Thu Giang, lecturer in the Faculty of Oriental Studies, as Deputy Head of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, for a term concurrent with that of the Head of the Faculty.
