The process of urbanization and development of industrial zones in Vietnam has created opportunities and challenges for population groups, including ethnic minorities. In order to point out the current situation and solutions to gradually improve the quality of life of ethnic minorities in urban areas and industrial zones, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU organized the Workshop: “Life of ethnic minorities in urban areas and industrial zones: Some theoretical and practical issues in Vietnam”.
1. Content:The workshop focused on discussing the following key issues:1) Theoretical issues on the life of ethnic minorities in urban areas and industrial zones; 2) Current situation and issues raised about the life of ethnic minorities in urban areas and industrial zones (Employment, income, credit, housing, education and quality of human resources, health, culture - spirit, social evils, social capital and social integration, etc.); 3)Proposing solutions to improve the quality of life of ethnic minoritiesat theurban and industrial areas

3. Time: The workshop is scheduled to be held for 1 day in October 2016.
