Second round of university admissions for part-time study programs in 2016.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is organizing the 2016 university entrance examination for part-time study programs in the following majors:

Standard training program:02 sectors

- Office Administration - 60 student quota

- Religious StudiesButThe target is 80 students.

Second degree university training:01 industry

- Archival Studies - 60 student quota

I. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

All citizens who meet the following conditions are eligible to take the university entrance exam for the part-time/distance learning format:

- For standard training programs:Having graduated from high school (THPT) through formal or continuing education, or having graduated from college or vocational school (professional vocational school, vocational training school), hereinafter collectively referred to as having graduated from high school.

(Graduates of vocational secondary schools must have graduated from lower secondary school, completed the required amount of knowledge, passed the upper secondary school cultural subjects graduation exams, and been recognized as having completed the cultural subjects in the upper secondary education program as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training).

- For second degree programs:Those who have a university degree.

- Must be in good health to study according to current regulations;

- Submit all required documents and application fees fully, correctly, and on time;

Those who do not meet the above requirements and those who fall under the following categories are not eligible to take the exam:

- Currently under criminal investigation or serving a criminal sentence;

- Military personnel or police officers currently serving who have not been granted permission to attend training by their superiors.

II. PRIORITY POLICIES IN ADMISSION:

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, applies a preferential admission policy as stipulated in Article 6 of the current regulations on university and college admissions for part-time study programs issued by the Ministry of Education and Training.

1. Priority policy based on target group:Difference in admission scoresbetween the two next priority groups is1.0pointIndividuals who qualify for multiple priority categories are only entitled to the highest-ranking priority category.

2. Regional Priority Policies:Difference in admission scoresbetween two consecutive areas is0.5pointPriority is given to candidates based on their place of work or school, and those who graduated from high school and have a continuous period of study or work of 24 months or more up to the date of application.

3. The following candidates are eligible for direct admission to the standard university training program in the part-time/evening format:

- Labor heroes, heroes of the armed forces, and national emulation fighters who have a high school diploma or equivalent;

- Individuals who have a university degree from universities within the national education system.

III. SUBJECTS FOR THE ADMISSION EXAM:

- For standard training programs:Candidates must take all three subjects in the C group (Geography, History, Literature) according to the current high school curriculum.

- For second degree programs:Candidates must pass an entrance exam consisting of two subjects: Marxist-Leninist Philosophy and Modern Vietnamese Literature.

IV. ISSUING AND RECEIVING APPLICATIONS:

Application forms are issued by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The application period starts from...28/8/2016 arriveSeptember 30, 2016.Candidates can purchase and submit application forms at the Training Department, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi.

V. APPLICATION DOCUMENTS INCLUDE

1. A complete application dossier with confirmation from the agency or local authority, including a photograph and a seal affixed to each page.

2. Certified copies of diplomas and transcripts, including:

- For standard training programs:

+ A notarized copy of the diploma (High School, Vocational High School, Vocational College, College).

+ A notarized copy of the university diploma along with the transcript (for direct admission applicants).

- For second degree programs:Certified copy of university diploma and transcript

1. A notarized copy of the birth certificate.

2. Certified copy of the priority certificate (if any)

3. Three color photos, size 3x4 cm, with full name and date of birth clearly written on the back.

4. Two envelopes with stamps already affixed, clearly stating the address and contact telephone number.

VI. REVIEW:

Candidates who wish to attend review courses should register when submitting their application. The review courses are tentatively scheduled for October 2016.

VII. EXAMINATION SCHEDULE:

Expected dates: October 29-30, 2016

VIII. TIME AND LOCATION OF STUDY:

1. Class schedule: outside of regular business hours.

- Standard training program: 3.5 – 4.0 years

- Second degree training: 2 – 2.5 years

- Study location: at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities

IX. FEES:

- Exam registration fee:60,000 VND/candidate

- Entrance examination fee:200,000 VND per exam subject

- Application fee:200,000 VND/candidate (for those exempt from the exam)
