The Department of Art Studies (Faculty of Literature - University of Social Sciences and Humanities) in collaboration with the Center for Research and Application of Culture and Arts is enrolling students for a short-term training course in script writing skills for cinema and television starting in April 2017.
The course aims to train basic and practical skills for students to approach the film and television screenwriting industry, meeting the broadcasting needs of the increasingly high and expanding television channels today.

All subjects who need to learn screenwriting for film and television.

3. Training objectives and results
At the end of the course, students will grasp the following basic theoretical knowledge and practical skills: Introductory theory of cinema, basic concepts and characteristics of cinema and television; Skills in writing film scripts and scripts for long-running television series (ideation, outline, analysis, scene setting...); Skills in writing documentary and animated film scripts; Equip with practical knowledge of film production processes and systems (including field trips to the production systems of one or several film and television establishments in Hanoi).
The knowledge gained after the course can help students apply to become editors of television channels and news agencies nationwide; become the person in charge of the Cinema - Television column on electronic newspapers, etc.
Good and highly rated scripts will be contacted by lecturers and introduced to film producers to be brought to television screens.
After completing the course, students will receive a Certificate issued by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
4. Study time
- 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., 3 sessions/week on Monday - Wednesday - Friday or Tuesday - Thursday - Saturday.
5. Learning conditions
Inheriting modern facilities and equipment from the Film Training Project sponsored by the Ford Foundation, students will study in standard classrooms with 30-40 students, watch movies, and use learning materials at the library and cinema room of the Film Project with standard sound, screen, and lighting systems.

7. Registration documents include:
- Application form
- Copy of ID card or copy of student card/university diploma (or college, vocational high school/high school/junior high school)
- 2 3x4 cm photos (taken within the last 3 months)
Tuition:3,000,000 VND (including internship and printing costs for reference materials); 10% tuition discount for students currently studying at the school. Students are required to bring their tuition fees when registering (minimum 70%)
