Selection process for the Vu A Dinh Award 2017

1. INTRODUCTION TO THE AWARD

The Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund was established by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on March 5, 1999, with Comrade Truong My Hoa, former Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and former Vice President of Vietnam, as its Chairperson. Throughout the years, the Fund has contributed to implementing the Party and State's policy of national unity; and has helped invest in building a young workforce for mountainous regions in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.

In addition to awarding thousands of scholarships annually and many other meaningful programs, the Foundation has established the Vu A Dinh Award. Over the years, the Award has contributed to encouraging individuals and groups, including students from ethnic minorities, mountainous and island regions, who possess talent and dedication, have achieved good academic and work results, have innovative ideas and scientific works, and have done things that bring practical benefits to their people and localities in mountainous and island regions.

2. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA, STANDARDS, AND PROCESS FOR AWARDING THE "VỪ A DÍNH" AWARD IN 2017

2.1. Target audience:The award is given to students, youth union members, and young scientists from ethnic minorities, mountainous regions, and islands who have initiatives, models, or projects that bring practical benefits to mountainous, border, and island areas (individuals or groups).

2.2. Standards for students

- Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at the University.

- Have achieved at least a "good" academic record.

- Having award-winning scientific research projects, and creating practical jobs/operational models for ethnic minorities, mountainous regions, and islands.

2.3. Standards for groups

There are scientific research topics and practical job/operational models for ethnic minorities and people in mountainous and island regions.

3. APPLICATION FILE FOR THE 2017 “VỪ A DÍNH” AWARD

- A certified report of achievements of the nominated group/individual for the "Vừ A Dính" Award (according to the template).

- Reports on the results of scientific research/innovations/models/activities or operational models of groups or individuals.

- Evidence of awards and recognition for collective and individual achievements.

All the above documents, grouped or individual, should be arranged in order and placed in a separate file folder measuring 25cm x 43cm. The outside of the folder should clearly state the following information (Vừ A Dính Award Selection 2017: Full Name, Address, School, Phone Number, Email, List of Documents Included).

4.There is no limit to the number of applications for the Award.

5. DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING AWARD APPLICATIONS:Groups/individuals should submit their nominations for the Award to the Department of Politics and Student Affairs.Before April 21, 2017.
