The 2007-2009 term of the Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities left a positive mark with many rich activities, reflecting the youthful energy and creativity of the university's youth.The Student Union has consistently proven itself to be a trusted companion for generations of students, contributing to providing them with a positive learning environment and opportunities to showcase their potential. Let's look back on that journey through impressive statistics and images. 1. School-level storytelling competition about the moral example of Ho Chi Minh (March 2008): 100% of units participated, with over 1000 members cheering on the participants. 2. The "One Unit, One Activity" movement in response to the campaign to study and follow the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, with typical activities including: the "Journey Following in the Footsteps of Uncle Ho" competition (Sociology), the book exhibition about President Ho Chi Minh (Information and Library), the calligraphy exhibition of Ho Chi Minh's works (Literature), etc. 3. 550 volunteers participated in the 5th World Vesak Celebration. 4. Organized the "Youth's Journey" exchange activity in response to Population Day on December 26th: Over 1500 students from 6 universities and colleges participated in the exchange night.

5. 100 key officials participated in the "Journey to the Source" activity held in March 2009. 6. In coordination with the Veterans Association, organized a photo exhibition and exchange with former Phu Quoc prisoners, with approximately 400 outstanding union members and association members participating. 7. Organized student dialogues and dialogues between young officials and school leaders: 500 students participated, along with many dialogues maintained on the forum. 8. Organized skills training classes for student union members: English language skills, scientific paper writing skills, scientific research skills, time management methods, internet information access and utilization skills, effective exam preparation skills, teamwork skills, etc., attracting approximately 170-400 students per class. 9. Introducing scholarship recipients: Continuing Education, Hanoi New Newspaper, Mobifone... Scholarships are worth up to 50,000,000 VND.

The first expanded Aerobics Competition for Humanities Students was organized, attracting 11 teams from 9 universities and colleges in Hanoi, and was highly appreciated by experts for its quality and organization. 12. Annual cultural and artistic activities of the Student Unions: Oriental Night, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and Indian Film Week (Oriental Studies Student Union), Searching for Leaders (Sociology Student Union), Mr & Ms Language (Linguistics Faculty Student Union), Regular exchanges with writers and publishers (Literature Faculty Student Union), Following the Course of History (History Faculty Student Union), Francophone Gala (Psychology Faculty Student Union), Management Talent Show (Management Science Faculty Student Union), Journalism Singing (Journalism Faculty Student Union)... These activities attract a large number of students from their respective majors and other fields, becoming a tradition for each unit. 13. 1000 members participated in 6 blood donation drives, collecting 722 units of blood.

The annual summer volunteer campaign has achieved many remarkable results with 15 volunteer models and over 500 volunteers participating, many of which have highly specialized expertise (Thang Long Cultural Propaganda, Han Nom Volunteer Team, Campaign Reporters, etc.). 15. Thousands of copies of the Volunteer newsletter are published regularly every quarter with improvements in content and format, becoming an effective information channel for the humanities student community.
