In March and April 2010, the Faculty-level Student Scientific Research Conferences were successfully held. This year, the entire university had 1172 students participating in scientific research with 707 reports.The faculties with the largest number of students participating in the scientific research movement are the Faculty of Literature (99 reports), the Faculty of Oriental Studies (93 reports), the Faculty of International Studies (69 reports), the Faculty of Management Science (67 reports), the Faculty of History (66 reports)... 148 outstanding research projects were awarded prizes at the faculty level. Outstanding projects will be presented at the University-level Student Scientific Research Conference, scheduled to be held at the end of May. This year, the University also celebrates 15 years of student scientific research activities at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (1996-2010). In the 2008-2009 academic year, the University had 1026 students participating in scientific research (accounting for 18.9% of the total regular students) with 697 reports; 63 individual awards and 7 group awards were given at the university level. In the 2009 academic year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities had 15 student research projects participating in the Student Research Award of the Ministry of Education and Training, of which 7 projects won awards, including 1 second prize, 2 third prizes and 4 consolation prizes. For many consecutive years, the University has received Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training for its outstanding achievements in the student research movement.
