43 students with 23 scientific research topics competed for prizes at the 2010 Student Scientific Research Conference of the Faculty of Tourism Studies.As usual, this year's scientific reports were mainly submitted by third-year students (this year, K52). Most reports met the basic criteria set for a student research report. Some reports presented very new and creative research ideas, effectively applying research methods. The topics were graded meticulously, with the average score being the sum of the points given by the supervising teacher, the Departmental and Faculty-level expert councils, and the presentation score at the conference. As a result, the topic “Research on Destination Promotion Strategies and their Application in Building Tourism Promotion Strategies in Ninh Binh” by the student group Bui Duc Dung, Dinh Thi Thu Phuong, Hoang Thi Thuy (K52), supervised by Ms. Nguyen Thu Thuy, won first prize. Two second prizes were awarded to two student groups: Tran Thi Phuong Lan and Tran Le Xuan (K52) with the topic “From Folk Processions to Modern Street Festivals: Applications in Organizing Tourism Activities in Vietnam” supervised by Ms. Under the guidance of Trinh Le Anh, the student group Nguyen Thi Hoai and Nguyen Thi Hoa (K52) won the project "Developing rural tourism products in Tay Tuu flower village (Hanoi)," under the guidance of Dr. Tran Thuy Anh. Three other student groups also won three third prizes at the conference. The organizing committee proposed that the university award one first prize, two second prizes, and three third prizes at the university level to the projects that won prizes at the faculty level.
