To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Faculty of International Studies, the Faculty's Student Union is launching a competition to design a logo for the Faculty of International Studies, starting on April 12, 2010. The competition is open to individual and group students from the Faculty.
To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Faculty of International Studies, the Faculty's Student Union is launching a competition to design a logo for the Faculty of International Studies, starting on April 12, 2010. The competition is open to individual and group students from the Faculty.After launching the competition, the organizing committee received 20 entries. At the end of Round 1, 5 entries advanced to Round 2. The organizing committee will select 3 entries for Round 3 based on votes from full-time students. After a presentation to the judging panel, the best entry will be chosen to receive the First Prize. This entry will become the official logo of the Faculty, widely used by the Faculty of International Studies in its activities and in communication with units inside and outside the university. The official results will be announced at the end of May 2010.

Entries must meet the following requirements:

  • The logo content must show the name of the Faculty in Vietnamese (Faculty of International Studies), English (Faculty of International Studies) or abbreviation (IS).
  • The logo must reflect the typical characteristics of the Faculty: Dynamic and Creative.
  • The logo must be simple, highly concise, harmoniously composed, modern, aesthetically pleasing and artistic, and not duplicate the ideas of existing logos in Vietnam and around the world; it must not violate Vietnamese customs and traditions.
  • A logo must meet design requirements such as: aesthetic appeal, memorability, easy recognition, impact on the public, and the ability to reflect national cultural identity (expressed through color, lines, composition, meaning, etc.).
  • The logo fully displays the lines and dimensions of each detail; it is not overly complex to reproduce in printing, engraving, or embossing on common materials.
  • Each entry must be accompanied by a presentation of the concept.
