The men's student team won the football championship at the Vietnam National University Hanoi Sports Festival.
With four goals scored and only one goal conceded in the final match, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities team won the men's student football championship of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, on the afternoon of May 29, 2010.As part of the 2010 Hanoi National University Sports Festival, the men's student football tournament was held at the stadium of the University of Foreign Languages ​​(Hanoi National University), with the participation of 9 teams from member units: University of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Natural Sciences, University of Technology, University of Foreign Languages, University of Education, University of Economics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of International Studies, and the Training Technology Center. With a 7-a-side format, the 9 teams were divided into three groups for a round-robin competition (starting April 10th) to select the top 3 teams from each group and the second-place team with the highest points to advance to the semi-finals. Having excelled against the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of International Studies, the two neighboring teams, University of Social Sciences and Humanities and University of Natural Sciences, advanced to the final match on the afternoon of May 29th, 2010.

In the first few minutes of the match, the ball was mainly concentrated in the middle of the field. From a counter-attack, the defender of the University of Natural Sciences had to foul Ngoc Hung (14) so ​​that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities team was awarded a free kick right in front of the penalty area. Dinh Cong Giap (13) did not miss the opportunity with a powerful and accurate shot, opening the scoring of the match in the 6th minute.

In the 15th minute, Nguyen Anh Tuan of the University of Science narrowed the score to 1-2 after a scramble in front of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities' goal. However, 3 minutes before the end of the first half, Dinh Cong Giap (13) managed to score his second goal in this match. Leading 3-1, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities played quite comfortably in the second half with an effective defensive-counterattack strategy. In the 41st minute, Mai Linh (7) extinguished all hopes of the University of Science with a gentle header, raising the score to 4-1. This was also the final score of the match. The 2010 Vietnam National University Sports Festival football tournament recorded the successful achievements of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Besides the championship title of the men's student football team, the women's student team also won the runner-up prize, and the men's staff team shared third place. The organizing committee of the sports festival will hold the closing ceremony and award ceremony on June 3rd.
