Approving the Operating Regulations and discussing the assignment of professional committees of the School Council
One of the key contents of this meeting is to discuss and agree to approve the Regulations on operations and assign professional committees of the School Council. The members discussed and decided to establish 4 professional committees, including: Inspection Committee; Training and Science and Technology Committee, Finance and Facilities Committee, and Development Cooperation Committee. At the same time, assigning heads of committees and specific tasks to each committee, to ensure smooth and effective coordination in the management and operation activities of the school. This assignment will help increase transparency, responsibility and improve work efficiency.
Project to compile and publish books to celebrate the 80th anniversary of tradition and 30th anniversary of the school's founding
The meeting focused on discussing the Project to compile and publish a book to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the tradition and the 30th anniversary of the school's founding. This is a project of special significance, aiming to record important milestones in the development process of VNU-USSH. Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thanh Nam emphasized the importance of preserving and transmitting the historical and cultural values of the school through generations. The council members contributed many valuable ideas to complete the project and ensure its successful implementation.
Proposal to supplement sector and specialized planning
During the meeting, members also discussed the proposal to add to the planning of training majors and disciplines, including: Vietnamese Language and Vietnamese Culture, Multimedia Communications, Human Resource Management, International Development Studies, and Clinical Psychology. The opinions discussed were all aimed at updating and expanding the list of majors, meeting the increasing needs of the labor market and society. This will help VNU-USSH to constantly innovate, improve the quality of training and maintain its leading position in the field of social sciences and humanities.
Vietnamese Proficiency Test Project
Another important content of the meeting was to collect opinions on the Vietnamese Proficiency Test Project. Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thanh Nam presented the objectives and significance of the project, aiming to comprehensively assess the Vietnamese language ability of students and workers. The members of the School Council contributed many constructive ideas, helping to perfect the project so that it can be implemented effectively and achieve the best results.
Project on using and exploiting the school's facilities
The meeting also discussed the Project on the use and exploitation of the school's facilities. Council members gave many opinions on optimizing the use of existing equipment and infrastructure, and proposed investment and upgrading options to better serve training and research activities. Associate Professor Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh emphasized that the effective management and use of facilities will contribute significantly to improving the quality of education and creating favorable conditions for students and lecturers of the school.

The meeting of the University Council of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, was successful with many important discussions. The decisions and proposals to approve the regulations of the University Council and professional committees will be a solid foundation for the University Council to promote its central role in orienting, managing and supervising the activities of the University, ensuring sustainable development and achieving the educational and research goals set by the University.
The Council members also expressed their consensus and high support for the Project to compile and publish books to celebrate the 80th anniversary of tradition and the 30th anniversary of the school's founding; Proposal to supplement the planning of industries and majors, Project to assess Vietnamese proficiency; Project to use and exploit the school's facilities.
