OPINIONS FROM FORMER STUDENTS * Pham Anh Tuan Born in 1977 Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Vietnamnet Electronic Newspaper. www.vietnamnet.vn Former student of 1995-1999 I chose journalism as a career by chance. When I was about to graduate, I still hadn't written any decent articles. Feeling impatient, I confided in my teacher, he said: You have been equipped with basic knowledge, now go out and learn the profession, everything has a roadmap. I approached a few newspapers to ask for collaboration, I found that I caught up quickly. With the momentum, I registered to work at an electronic newspaper. From reporter to section chief, editorial secretary, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, one after another, as if it were a pre-arranged career. Occasionally meeting my teacher again, talking about the path to the career, he said it seemed like a coincidence but in reality it was very fateful, because whoever chose journalism had a natural tendency to accept challenges and was ready with a will to fight tirelessly. * Tran Ngoc Diep Born in 1982 Director of Copyright - Media Center, VMG Media Joint Stock Company Former student of 2000-2004 After graduating from the Faculty of Journalism - Media, I chose Public Relations to study for a master's degree in France. My current job is in a very new field: Copyright - Media. If I had not graduated from the Faculty of Journalism - Media, I would not have had the comprehensive knowledge to think quickly, have enough courage to deal with difficulties at work; I would not have had the confidence to meet and persuade famous people to cooperate with me in the field of copyright. Also from the university environment, I have many relationships with seniors and friends - people who have helped my communication plans to be effective. I think, journalistic thinking can help us succeed in different fields.
