ARCHEOLOGIST
Archaeologists do not seem to stay where they live. Their homes are the people's homes. They go on field trips and excavate at archaeological sites in many regions. Archaeological excavations are to search for material traces, partly recreating the history of the Vietnamese people. From the relics and artifacts excavated at archaeological sites, researchers will determine the age, nature and cultural characteristics. Thereby, they restore the relics as well as build overall plans to preserve and promote the historical - cultural - educational values of those relics in the context of building a contemporary Vietnamese culture.
Jobs and tasks to be performed:
- Research archaeological documents;
- Archaeological excavation planning;
- Participate in surveying relics before organizing excavation;
- Conduct excavation according to professional practice;
- Processing of relic sites and collecting artifacts;
- Handling of artifacts;
- Reconstruction of artifacts;
- Assess the age, value of relics and artifacts.
Requirements on capacity and personality:
- Have a passion for the profession, be honest and objective;
- Ability to research independently, in groups and as a team leader.

HISTORIAN
With the characteristic of researching the past of a country or nation in many aspects, historians can work in diverse environments. By exploiting sources of documents, historians will reconstruct historical events in the past, analyze, evaluate, and find the connection and role of the past with the present. In addition to research work, historians also contribute to conveying historical knowledge to the community, providing advice in researching and planning policies for the country's socio-economic development.

They can update cultural information from written sources, oral documents, mass media, field documents, etc. to describe cultural activities, analyze, and evaluate their role and impact on the development of Vietnamese cultural history. With diverse research topics, cultural researchers, in addition to studying an overview of general knowledge about culture, often delve into specific cultural fields.
