Celebrating 60 years of tradition in the Faculty of Anthropology (1960 - 2020)

On December 16th, the Department of Anthropology celebrated its 60th anniversary, summarizing six decades of development and proud milestones. The USSH website is pleased to present a video summarizing this significant event.

On December 15, 2020, the Department of Anthropology organized a scientific research conference for graduate students and doctoral candidates. This is a very meaningful activity in the context of the University and the Department promoting the connection between scientific research and postgraduate training, and enhancing the academic quality in research and training.

For over a century, Anthropology has held a unique position and made significant contributions to human research, both from a fundamental scientific perspective and in policy applications. 2020 marks a historic milestone: over 100 years of tradition in Anthropology in Vietnam, and 60 years of tradition for the Faculty of Anthropology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

On December 16th, the Department of Anthropology celebrated its 60th anniversary, summarizing its development over six decades and highlighting proud milestones.

The workshop, jointly organized by the University and the French Institute for Development Studies, took place on December 16th and was an academic activity within the series of events celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Faculty of Anthropology. The workshop was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa - Vice Rector of the University, and scientists and administrators working in fields related to Anthropology.

As an academic activity within the series of events celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Anthropology Department, the Student Scientific Research Conference with the theme "Current Situation and Solutions to Promote and Improve the Quality of Student Scientific Research in Anthropology" (December 15, 2020) provided a realistic view of student research activities. At the same time, the heartfelt sharing from the lecturers helped encourage Anthropology students to further love and believe in the future of their field of study.
