Over the past century, the transition from Ethnology to Anthropology in Vietnam has transformed Anthropology into a science with exceptionally profound theoretical and practical significance, encompassing a system of research, education, and practice institutions that brings together hundreds of researchers, lecturers, and policy practitioners focused on human resources.

Through clear evidence, from the voices of industry professionals, and with a global, regional, and national perspective encompassing basic research, applied research, and training, this book provides readers with fundamental and comprehensive knowledge of Anthropology, a science that studies human beings in a holistic way.
The book comprises 26 articles, structured into three parts, focusing on clarifying the name, definition, subject and scope of study, history of formation and development, theoretical approaches, methods and research topics, contributions and prospects of anthropology in general, and its sub-disciplines and specializations in particular. Part I consists of four articles: "What is Anthropology?", "Biological Anthropology", "Archaeology", and "Linguistic Anthropology," helping readers understand how anthropology is a science that comprehensively studies human beings. Part II contains 20 articles that introduce the specializations of the sub-discipline of Cultural Anthropology in more detail, although from some specific angles, the articles are more or less related to the other sub-disciplines of Anthropology. Part III consists of two articles on the theory and research methods in the two sub-disciplines of Cultural Anthropology and Linguistic Anthropology.
With its logical structure and easy-to-understand writing style, illustrated with many vivid examples, this book is hoped to be a useful resource for anthropology students, university students, high school students, and readers interested in learning about anthropology. The book is also a good resource for research and teaching in anthropology.
