The scholarship awarding ceremony, organized by Tien Phong newspaper, took place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on January 8, 2025.
According to the organizers, in 2025, 120 students nationwide, including valedictorians, salutatorians, and top-scoring candidates in the recent university entrance exams, will be awarded scholarships. In the North alone, 20 outstanding students will be selected from a total of 93 applications. The scholarship recipients are valedictorians, salutatorians, or top-scoring candidates in the 2025 university entrance exams and come from disadvantaged families. Each scholarship is worth 10 million VND, along with a certificate from the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund and some other gifts.
Among them, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has two students who were honored to receive scholarships: Vu Thu Giang - a K70 student majoring in Film and Popular Arts, Faculty of Literature, and Nguyen Thi Nuong - a K70 student majoring in Cultural Studies, Faculty of History. These two students achieved high results in the 2025 regular university entrance examination.

Journalist Phung Cong Suong, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong newspaper, said that exactly a decade ago, when the new school year began, Tien Phong newspaper witnessed many students who achieved the highest scores in exams facing the risk of not being able to enter university due to extremely difficult family circumstances. From these concerns, the "Supporting Top Students" program was born, with the desire to promptly extend a helping hand and support these students at the most crucial moment in their student lives.
For the past 10 years, "Supporting Top Students" has not only been a scholarship program but also a persistent journey of sharing, social responsibility, and belief in the value of knowledge and human perseverance. From its humble beginnings, the program has now supported over 1,000 top students and outstanding students from disadvantaged backgrounds across the country.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the "Supporting Top Students" program and congratulate Vu Thu Giang and Nguyen Thi Nuong. We wish them continued success in overcoming difficulties, striving for excellence, and achieving many accomplishments during their years of study at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities!
