This morning, November 27, 2024, 54 scholarships worth 800 USD each were awarded by the AEON 1% Club Fund to students of 03 Northern universities, including: University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Foreign Trade University, Vietnam National University of Agriculture.
The 18 VNU-USSH students awarded the AEON 1% scholarship are 3rd and 4th year students with excellent/good academic results, many outstanding achievements in participating in the Youth Union, Association movements, volunteer activities serving the community; active in domestic and international academic exchanges, especially in activities promoting academic and cultural exchanges between students of the two countries Vietnam - Japan.
Mr. Ito Naoki - Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam expressed his hope that the students will continue to be a bridge, contributing to fostering the friendship between Vietnam and Japan.
Ms. Sasaki Mariko - General Secretary of AEON 1% Club Foundation congratulated the students who had excellently received the Foundation's scholarships and hoped that they would continue to strive to fulfill their dreams.
Over the past 18 years, the AEON 1% Club Foundation has carried out scholarship support activities for students in 07 Asian countries (Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Indonesia, Japan, China, Cambodia) to support them in their studies, scientific research and international exchanges.
Sharing at the scholarship award ceremony, Nguyen Thi Thuy Thanh - a third-year student of the Faculty of International Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities said: “My greatest aspiration is to become a lecturer at the Faculty of International Studies. For me, this is not only a career goal but also a meaningful journey to explore the world, contribute to the field of education and share positive values with the community. This passion is driven by the desire to understand more deeply about countries and people through political, economic and cultural aspects - important factors in the context of globalization today".
Nguyen Thi Thuy Thanh - 3rd year student of International Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities expressed her gratitude for the support of the school and AEON 1% Club Fund on her learning journey.
The third-year student of the Faculty of International Studies also said that in the process of pursuing this dream, she always pays special attention to the Vietnam-Japan relationship, a strong friendship that has been nurtured throughout history. Japan is not only an important partner of Vietnam but also a model of discipline, responsibility and creativity that Thuy Thanh greatly admires. "If given the opportunity to become a lecturer in the Faculty of International Studies, I hope to not only impart theoretical knowledge but also inspire future generations of students to explore and contribute to promoting deep and sustainable cooperation between the two countries."
