In 2021 the Vietnamese Government passed a National Strategy on Gender Equality 2021-2030 aimed at narrowing the gender gap in many areas including education. In view of the importance of strengthening the enabling environment for women and men to participate and enjoy equally all aspects of academic life, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has been awarded with the Australian Volunteers Program Impact Fund 2023-2024 to deliver services to academic women, with the aim of:
  • having more women hold key leadership positions;
  • increasing women’s research output;
  • reducing the average time spent on unpaid housework and childcare
USSH are offering Academic women two separate workshops: Workshop 1: Academic Leadership Skills (tentatively scheduled for mid-November 2023), and Workshop 2: Research Bootcamp (tentatively scheduled for mid-February 2024).
