This morning, December 13, 2024, 04 students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi were honored to receive scholarships from the Asian Development Fund ADF (Korea).

This is one of the contents discussed at the working session and signing of the memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and Malikussaleh University - Indonesia (UNIMAL) this afternoon, December 13, 2024.

The annual AEON 1% Scholarship is designed to support students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) in their academic endeavors, scientific research, and international exchanges.

This was the key topic discussed by scholars during the workshop titled “Groundbreaking Solutions in Talent Development, Utilization, and Recruitment for Rapid and Sustainable National Development,” held on the morning of November 26, 2024, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH).

On November 6, 2024, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) announced the results of the QS Asia University Rankings 2025 (QS AUR 2025). According to the rankings, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-Hanoi) has risen to 161st position, an impressive jump of 26 places compared to its rank of 187 in QS AUR 2024. This achievement places VNU-Hanoi among the top 17% of higher education institutions in Asia.

This was the central topic discussed during a meeting between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University (VNU-USSH), and representatives of the Literature Institute at Beijing Normal University (BNU), held today, November 6, 2024.

On the morning of November 4, 2024, the State Professorship Council announced the list of candidates who have met the criteria for professor and associate professor titles in 2024.

On October 8, 2024, at a ceremony commemorating the 578th anniversary of the proclamation of the Hangeul script, hosted by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Dr. Luu Tuan Anh, Head of the Korean Studies Department (Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University), was honored with a Commendation from the President of South Korea.

Many initiatives for cooperation and support for students and faculty of the Korean Studies Department at VNU-USSH were discussed and agreed upon during the meeting between the university’s leadership and representatives from the Korea Foundation.

On May 2, 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, issued Decision No. 2151/QĐ-XHNV concerning the Digital Competency Framework for students at the university.

Throughout Vietnam's historical and cultural development, Vietnamese Buddhism, along with generations of monks, nuns, lay practitioners (householders), and Buddhist followers from various sects, has made significant contributions. Among these, Thiền tông (Zen Buddhism), Tịnh độ tông (Pure Land Buddhism), and Mật tông (Vajrayana Buddhism) have played a crucial role. However, to effectively utilize and understand this rich heritage, meticulous and rigorous scientific research is essential.

On February 20, 2024, an international scientific conference with the theme “Multidisciplinary Approaches in the Study of History and International Relations in the 20th-21st Centuries: From the Perspective of Vietnamese and French Scholars” was held at VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
