A lot of its staff have participated in short-term and long-term courses in the UK, Australia, South Korea, India, Sweden, the US, Japan, Thailand and China. Many collaborative projects have been conducted with foreign partners such as Project "Supporting the development of journalism training schools in Vietnam" (sponsored by Sasakawa Peace Foundation), Project "Vietnamese history studies" (sponsored by Toyota Foundation), Project "MediaPro - Developing curriculla for training journalism according to international standards" (sponsored by the British Council), and Project "Improve the capability of young journalists" (sponsored by the US Embassy in Vietnam).

SJC is gaining access to a regional network of 5 big universities that train journalism and in the future, these universities will exchange students and recognize the credits of each other's bachelor's programs. This is one of the steps taken by SJC to elevate its quality to regional and international levels.
